Power management with steam turbines, storage, and renewables




You can reduce emissions and increase efficiency by integrating renewables and storage in your steam turbine plant. DEIF control devices let you add an entire hybrid plant control system to your steam turbine control architecture. This lets you configure a flexible solution that gives you many options for generating, storing, and distributing energy for a number of different applications:

  • You can integrate PV panels, batteries, diesel generators, and other energy sources in your power management system using AGC 150 and ASC 150 controllers. This lets you use renewable energy, store energy from any source for later use, and maximise the efficiency of all generating sources whilst reducing carbon emissions from the plant.
  • Your hybrid energy sources are integrated closely with a power management system based on AGC Steam controllers that distribute the load between your turbines and ensure uninterrupted control. Each turbine is controlled using our Steam Turbine Governor application, and the system can include AGC mains and bus tie breaker controllers.
  • You can integrate MVR protection relays at all breakers to protect the entire installation from faults, and you can add a customised Load Shedding application based on our AMC 600 hardware.

You can control and monitor the entire plant using AGI 400 series displays or from a third-party SCADA system. And you can use DEIF’s Insight remote monitoring tool to supervise the system from your smartphone wherever you are.
