The main switchboard and a number of subdistribution switchboards form the electrical central nervous system of the ship. Because they are critical to power supply, control and system monitoring, instrument robustness is among the most important quality parameters. Collaborating closely with classification societies, who audit our test results and methods before issuing certificates, our Type Test Lab performs measurements relevant for classification approvals and CE marking.
DEIF devices are ideally suited for intelligent marine power management systems that control, protect, and coordinate main and emergency diesel generators, bus tie breakers, and inverters on vessels with diesel electric propulsion. Our devices can integrate battery and shore power controllers in order to reduce emissions and run engines and gensets more efficiently.
We offer several controller platforms that are ideally suited for diesel electric propulsion – from the off-the-shelf PPM 300 advanced power management system to the highly configurable PPU 300 paralleling and protection unit (available with a built-in CODESYS PLC environment). And we offer engineered solutions based on both platforms.
For advanced applications and integrations, we offer the robust and flexible AMC 300 or AMC 600 PLCs. In addition, our MVR range of medium voltage relays offer efficient AC protection. And besides controllers, we offer user-friendly graphical interfaces, shutdown units, and a complete range of user-friendly switchboard and bridge instrumentation that give crews a great overview of critical systems on the ship – from rudder angle indicators to wind sensors.
With the Blueflow energy management system, crews can save fuel and reduce emissions by following suggestions based on real-time information about current operating conditions.
